Our field trip was lots of fun! The students enjoyed all the various play stations at the Children's Museum. The weather was perfect for a picnic in the park on the way home!

We enjoyed several versions of Little Red Riding Hood this week, and had fun retelling the stories with our finger puppets. We worked hard on learning how to make a fact family. We did a warm-up game with dice to practice our math facts. Thank you to the families that came out for Family Fun Night this week!
As we studied our fairy tales this week, we took time to act out a favorite, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Just look at those laughs and smiles!!
This week we celebrated a district-wide focus on technology with Digital Learning Day. We enjoyed some new apps on the iPads.
We had a great week celebrating Valentine's Day. We made cards for the cafeteria workers and custodians, and took a walk to deliver them. They loved them! We did a graphing activity with little hearts, and then had a stacking contest. One of our book selections this week was The Missing Tarts. The students made nursery rhyme characters to add to our big mural. In Science this week, we had fun exploring magnets. Time to open our valentines!
The 100th Day of School was loads of fun. Students worked in stations all day to use the number 100 in different ways. We are 100 days smarter! Some of our stations included making a 100th day crown, comparing collections, stamping "bubble gum balls", writing, building a design with 100 blocks, rolling dice to 100, making a snack with 100 things and more! But their favorite thing was using 100 cups to build a tower! Yay for 100th Day!
