We have been brainstorming ways we can help the planet by using the 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. After all, we have the whole world in our hands. We also wrote poems to convey our feelings about living on the Earth. Do something wonderful for our planet!
We made these cool lion masks and the students carried them in our parade today. It almost felt like Chinese New Year. Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Saturday is our 21st Annual Multicultural Festival. Come visit! I will be there working, so look for me. We will have a silent auction and there are TWO chances to bid on our classroom items. You can bid on a "teacher experience with me - Party in the Park." Also - the students helped me created this gorgeous wooden tray. You might be the winner with the highest bid!
We have enjoyed our continued study of China and the culture there. During our study, we have created some fantastic pieces of Chinese artwork. Take a look! We can't wait for the Multicultural activities this week. We'll have the Choir Program on Thursday, the Parade on Friday and the Festival on Saturday. Each grade level studies a different country. K = Africa, 1st grade = China, 2nd grade = Japan, 3rd grade = Philippines, 4th grade = Mexico and 5th grade = India. We have been busy learning about China all week. Winner's parents came in to share a cool presentation about their home country! |
