Apples Apples Apples! We enjoyed wonderful literature this week, did some apple activities and welcomed Fall! We enjoyed tasting different types and colors of apples and recording our observations. We used the apple cores as stampers to make apple prints. We brainstormed adjectives to describe apples. It was a group effort to get our apples and spices ready to cook. Time to eat! October is Fire Prevention Month. We asked some neighbors from Sugar Land Fire Station #3 to visit us. They did a wonderful job speaking about safety, and showing us the fire truck. We gave them a book of Fire Safety Rules created by the students. They loved it! They finished their visit with lights and a siren! Click below to play the video. We did a graphing activity about our favorite book of the week. What happened next is what teachers love! These students used their math box time to create their own surveys and graphs. Excellent! After a busy week, we enjoyed some extra recess on a beautiful Friday afternoon!
