We've enjoyed so much wonderful literature related to colors. After reading Little Blue and Little Yellow, we did a paint experiment by combining the colors. It was fun! We have been sorting different groups of objects by attributes. Here are some groups trying to decide how to sort their aliens. We loved reading The Big Green Pocketbook. After discussing the story, each student made a pocketbook or briefcase, filled with pictures of their favorite things. It was a fun sharing experience. Then, it was time for Carrot Day! We started the day with a lively (and loud) presentation by Toro, the mascot of the Houston Texans. We then returned to our First Grade hallway to measure and compare our carrots. I enjoyed seeing many of you at our Spirit Night at Spring Creek Barbeque. Here are the selfies!
