In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, we celebrated the "Read Across America" event with enjoying lots of his books. We had a school-wide contest to see which class could bring in the most Dr. Seuss books. We ended up in 2nd place with 78 books! Some of the students brought a whole stack of them! We drew some Cat in the Hat pictures, too. We studied Tall Tales this week, and did some writing pieces about Paul Bunyan. Here's an experiment we did in Science with heating and cooling. We held a chocolate kiss in an open hand, and held one in a closed hand for 5 minutes to see if either one melted.
