We enjoyed Dr. Seuss week with activities and reading. Check out Principal Dow as the Cat in the Hat! We focused on Goldilocks and the Three Bears in our reading groups this week. Each team read a version of the story (we had 9 of them) and then reported back to the group. It was very entertaining! We have been learning about living and non-living things in Science. We set up 2 aquariums with goldfish, snails and 2 kinds of aquatic plants. We worked on student biographies this week. They loved writing about themselves! We will share with you at Open House. The weather has been gloomy! Check out our female engineers in action as we spent time inside for indoor recess. We appreciated the diversity in our classroom when writing about our families. Mrs. Dow stopped by and shared some things she had in common with our students. Our Dr. Seuss week included Wacky Wednesday, Pajama Thursday, and an assembly on Friday with the Sugar Land Skeeters. Baseball giant Deacon Jones read a story to the students.
