We had fun with this "green" book. It's a delightful story of a little girl who ran all kinds of errands with her mom and put her "souvenirs" into her pocketbook. We made our own versions of pocketbooks and briefcases, and had fun sharing pictures of our special things. Time to move on to Orange Day! This book described the house of Mr. Plumbean's dreams, so the students then made their own cool houses. For Purple Day, we read one of my favorites. I love love love this book and the beautiful illustrations. What do animals do when we are sleeping? They skate! It was so amusing to imagine the different animals up in the air. We wrapped up our unit on Objects in the Sky by creating astronauts and thinking about what we'd do if we landed on the moon. Check out their knowledge of man-made objects and natural objects on these space posters. What does Math look like in our class? Here are a few activities. Partner games with dice to order numbers. Using our "slider" dogs to learn how to use a number line. As we begin our Weather unit, we worked together to create this anchor chart of weather words. It looks amazing!
