We had a fun-filled week returning from the winter break. We actually wrote some resolutions (I will post photos next week). In Math, we are working with tens and ones. We took time to have a little fun building "houses" with our blocks. They recorded the number of blocks they used, and skip-counted to get their grand totals. They were very focused with this activity! We did another counting activity with cubes. The students loved getting permission to write on their desks! In Science, we did a little review on light, heat, and sound. We used flashlights as our light source to test whether it would shine through certain objects. Somehow I missed the chance to take a photo of our heat experiment. Then we discussed sound and how objects (and voices) make vibrations. Our music teacher, Mrs. Linder, loaned us a few instruments to add to our stash of materials. Making a lot of noise was the order of the day! Take a look at the live action in this video! Here are some photos.
