We finished up our money unit with a pretend "shopping" game. Each student used their bag of coins to "shop" for items on cards. They had a fun time! I was surprised this week with a visit from my son, Conrad. It cracked me up when all the kids ran over to him. It's easy to be a rock star when you visit First Grade! We spent this week working on some persuasive pop-up books. Each student chose a pet they'd like to have and gave reasons why. The final products were terrific.

AuthorI am a retired First Grade teacher in Texas. I have two children, two daughters-in-law, a grandson and granddaughter. Our beloved pup, Rocco, went to heaven this year. He was 15 years old. I've been married 37 years. I would love to hear from any former students! Archives
