We have been studying soil and its components. We had a Rock Lab to observe, discover, and record our scientific thoughts about what we saw.
We have a wonderful nocturnal animal museum in our hallway! These student-created reports and 3D animal models are fascinating! Each student researched a nocturnal animal. They wrote reports with facts, During our "creation hour" they used any available materials to create a 3D model of their animal. Aren't they fantastic?! We also completed these original books about nocturnal animals. The students recalled facts they'd learned about several animals and created pages to share. They loved reading their books to each other! Learning about holidays and celebrations here and around the world is important. This week we enjoyed learning about Hanukkah, and one student brought in some things from home to share with us. The students played the dreidel game over and over! Rocks! We have been studying soil and its components. We had a Rock Lab to observe, discover, and record our scientific thoughts about what we saw. We had fun making these little "goodnight books" after reading Goodnight Moon. The holiday season is a time we express gratitude. Take a look at the video below to understand why we are using bows to identify things and people for which we feel GRATITUDE!
