We began a science experiment on Friday. We recorded our materials, the process so far, what we've observed, and our predictions. Hmmm, what will happen?
After reading one of my favorite books, The Rainbow Fish, we enjoyed a little creative storytelling. This shopping game allowed us to practice adding coin values together. When we make choices during math box free time, it pretty much looks like this! We had a cool videoconference this week with the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Florida. Our excellent presenter read a book, Smiley Shark, and then introduced us to many different shark species and facts. We worked all week on these ocean books. We learned a lot of facts, and had fun sharing. We were honored to present our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Sanchez, with a book of letters and paintings done by the students. She will be leaving Highlands this year. We love you! Coming next week...
