We loved having company for Open House. We hope you enjoyed all that we had to share! We did some creative writing in response to reading the book Stuck (about a boy that got his kite stuck in a tree). Here are some lovely Texas bluebonnets - the state flower of Texas! We did Texas paintings in response to the book, The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush. We did some cool painted castles, and wrote a letter, inviting someone to visit. We learned about many different National Symbols. Here's a peek at the Statue of Liberty wall, and our original flags. And in case you were losing sleep over it, don't worry! The Missing Tarts have been found! Each student contributed a nursery rhyme character to our giant mural. Whew! It has been a busy couple of weeks!
