We have been reading about pumpkins all week. The students made some fabulous books to share, and even did pumpkin paintings. We loved having visitors at lunch this week for Lunch With a Loved One. Look at these wonderful smiles! We were treated to a Magic Show by the PTO this week. I still don't know how he made Mrs. Dow magically appear! Not only was it a hilarious show, but he gave a wonderful anti-bullying message. Another assembly we enjoyed this week was the kick-off for our Boosterthon Fun Run. In preparation for the big run next Thursday, we decorated our class flag. We also had Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A this week. Where's Waldo? Time for Pumpkin Day! We did a lot of measuring and estimating activities, including this one. Will our "ghost" pumpkin sink or float? Ask your child for the answer! We used our protective eyewear for our scientific exploration of pumpkin pulp and seeds. Our pumpkin had 354 seeds! We tasted pumpkin Cheerios while we decorated our mini-pumpkins. Lots of concentration going on!
