As we prepared our room for Open House, the students left some "creations" out for you to view. They were so excited! We put the finishing touches on our color unit by reading about rainbows, and then creating original paintings. Aren't they lovely?! We've been working hard on grammar skills, and loved sharing our posters about nouns. Science is always a lot of fun. We explored lots of materials, trying to determine which ones were magnetic. We began our geometry unit by discussing plane shapes. We divided into teams, and set out with iPads to find those shapes in the real world. We've also been learning about the states of matter in Science. We did a fun scavenger hunt for pictures, then toured around the school to find real-world examples. Fire Safety was the focus of our week. We ended our week with a visit from the Sugar Land firefighters from Station 3. They went over safety rules and answered lots of questions. We love our First Responders! The students were able to actually walk through the fire truck! Thank you for the wonderful visit!
