Clements ROTC Veterans' Day is always a tender, sentimental time for me as my father was a career Air Force pilot. He would have loved our celebration at Highlands! The students sang a lot of patriotic songs, heard from a Navy seaman, watched the "presentation of colors", and joined together to thank the Veterans in our extended Highlands family. Thank you to the parents and precious Veterans that came out to remind us how great it is to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave! After the program, Amanda B's grandpa came to the classroom and read his original story about Nibbles the Squirrel. We sure enjoyed having him!

Hi Mrs Koski, I couldn't make it to the Veteran's day but looking at the pictures you posted was really fun. I really enjoyed and am sure everyone enjoyed and celebrated the day with due respect to our Veterans. Thank you for posting the pictures.
